A bridge for Kimbuta

In the Kimbuta area we have recently finalized the construction of a pedestrian bridge, which will allow our students and their families to avoid walking many kilometers to reach our health facilities and schools.

The Kimbuta territory is in fact crossed by the Lukaya river, a watercourse with a discrete extension, but with strong streams, which forces local people to make an unpleasant choice: either crossing the river risking to be dragged away from the stream, or going up the entire watercourse, to reach a crossing which is many kilometers away from our facilities.

To solve this everyday problem, we have decided to build a bridge. It is a pedestrian bridge with a single span of twenty-eight meters, to reconnect the two parts of the territory, allowing our children to arrive at school safely.

Additionally, we will also allow the population to move around for work needs, actively contributing to the economic development and prosperity of the area, thanks to a sustainable infrastructure with the minimum environmental impact for the territory.
