The Projects
Albino protection
During missions to schools in Magic Amor, our President, Dr. Carla Mauro, met many albino children and young people. Since albinos do not produce melanin, they suffer sunburns during childhood that lead to DNA damage of the skin cells, which can later lead to carcinoma (in Congo, difficult to operate and treat). This is why the ‘albino protection’ project was set up, which has enabled Magic Amor to annually supply hundreds of albino children and young people with physical sunscreen creams, sunglasses to protect their eyes and long clothing to cover their exposed skin. In addition, Magic Amor initiated and pursued an awareness-raising campaign for albino children, emphasising their normality while educating them about the risks of sun exposure.
An emancipated and aware albino child will be able to live a normal and dignified life: this is what Magic Amor holds most dear.
